Research expertise

The research team is committed to developing new bio-printing technology and a variety of non-toxic and environmentally friendly new printing materials. The materials can have suitable mechanical properties, degradability and high biocompatibility. They can be applied to blood vessels, nerve and cartilage tissue engineering. The new materials are very suitable for use in the biomedical industry, tissue engineering or 3D printing industry.

The research team developed the preparation and assembling technology of cell blocks required for bio-printing to solve the problems that the preparation of three-dimensional tissue spheres cannot be effectively and quickly expanded, the size is difficult to be uniform, and the spheres are difficult to achieve complex target configurations on assembling. This development helps the development of the bio-printing, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and has good results when applied to the manufacture of artificial dermis.
